Job Summary |
Responsible for end-to-end workshop and manufacturing activities including control panel wiring, cabinet assembly, system integration, electronic component soldering, and pre-testing of automation and control systems. This role operates within a manufacturing or staging environment, preparing PLC, DCS, and instrumentation cabinets from assembly through to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and customer handover.
Job Description and Responsibilities |
- Perform control panel wiring, cable termination, ferruling, labeling, and assembly of PLC and DCS cabinets in accordance with design schematics and layout drawings.
- Execute precision soldering of electronic modules and PCBs in compliance with IPC and ESD standards, including solid-state and HIPS system components.
- Conduct inspection, pre-FAT checks, loop checks, I/O verification, and functional testing of assembled systems.
- Support FAT and IFAT activities with clients, ensuring system compliance and completeness of documentation.
- Troubleshoot wiring faults, control logic issues, and integration errors in coordination with engineering teams.
- Participate in pre-commissioning preparation and support on-site commissioning and startup activities as required.
- Maintain accurate assembly records, test reports, and punch-list items throughout the build and test cycle.
- Ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures, international standards, and HSE requirements throughout all workshop activities.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams to resolve technical issues and ensure on-time delivery.
Basic Qualifications |
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in panel wiring, cabinet assembly, or control system integration in a workshop environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of IPC soldering standards and ESD handling practices.
- Experience with FAT, IFAT, and pre-commissioning activities is preferred.
- Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and international manufacturing standards.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES |
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, control drawings, and layout diagrams.
- Hands-on expertise in panel wiring, cable termination, and ferruling to professional workshop standards.
- IPC-certified soldering skills for electronic assemblies and PCBs.
- ESD awareness and safe handling of electronic components.
- Familiarity with PLC, DCS, and SCADA hardware integration.
- Knowledge of FAT, IFAT, and loop check documentation requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and quality consciousness.
