Job Summary |
Responsible for the design, engineering, and supervision of electrical systems including power generation, LV and MV distribution networks, substations, and protection systems. Provides full electrical engineering support across project phases from concept design through to commissioning and operational handover.
Job Description and Responsibilities |
- Design LV and MV power distribution systems including switchgear, transformers, substations, MCCs, and distribution boards.
- Develop single-line diagrams (SLDs), load calculations, cable sizing schedules, and protection coordination studies.
- Prepare electrical design deliverables including design bases, specifications, data sheets, and installation details.
- Review vendor and subcontractor electrical submittals and shop drawings for technical compliance.
- Support installation, testing, energization, and commissioning activities for electrical systems.
- Perform fault analysis, power quality assessment, and system optimization studies.
- Supervise electrical installation works and ensure compliance with international standards and client requirements.
- Ensure all electrical designs comply with IEC/IEEE standards, local authority requirements, and HSE obligations.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for installed electrical systems during operations.
Basic Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or Energy Systems.
- Minimum 4 years of electrical engineering experience in industrial, oil and gas, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in LV and MV system design, cable sizing, protection coordination, and load flow studies.
- Familiarity with IEC and IEEE electrical design standards.
- Experience with substation design and energization activities is preferred.
