Job Summary


Responsible for the maintenance, overhaul, testing, calibration, and repair of control valves, safety valves, isolation valves, and associated actuators and positioners in industrial process environments. Ensures valve performance meets process requirements and safety standards.

 

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, overhaul, calibration, and repair of control valves, safety relief valves (SRV), and isolation valves.
  • Calibrate, stroke-test, and perform leak testing on control valves and actuators in accordance with site procedures and manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric actuators and associated positioners.
  • Read and interpret P&IDs, valve data sheets, and technical maintenance manuals.
  • Conduct shutdown and turnaround valve maintenance activities, including valve removal, inspection, and reinstallation.
  • Execute valve diagnostics using HART communicators and smart valve positioner tools.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, test reports, and punch lists for all valve activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures, including PTW and LOTO requirements at all times.

Basic Qualifications

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, or Industrial Maintenance.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in valve maintenance and overhaul in oil and gas, petrochemical, or utilities environments.
  • Familiarity with control valve brands such as Fisher, Masoneilan, Samson, or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of P&IDs, technical drawings, and valve sizing principles.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Hands-on experience with control valve maintenance, calibration, and overhaul.
  • Proficiency with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric actuators.
  • Ability to read P&IDs and valve data sheets.
  • Diagnostic skills using HART communicators and positioner tools.
  • Knowledge of PTW, LOTO, and industrial safety practices.
