The Service Engineer will provide on-site technical services for customer-owned automation, control, and instrumentation systems installed at Saudi Aramco facilities, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant operation. The role requires strict adherence to Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES), GI, SAIP, HSE, and site-specific procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Automation & Control Services (Aramco Sites)
Perform installation, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of customer automation systems at Saudi Aramco plants and facilities.
Support DCS, PLC, SIS, and field instrumentation systems in full compliance with Saudi Aramco standards and approved project documentation.
Execute preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities in live operating plants and during shutdowns/turnarounds.
Conduct loop checking, SAT, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities in accordance with approved Aramco procedures.
Support system upgrades, migrations, patches, and lifecycle management under Saudi Aramco Management of Change (MOC) requirements.

Ensure full adherence to PTW (Permit to Work), LOTO, JSA, toolbox talks, and site safety rules.
Participate in audits, inspections, and compliance reviews as required by Saudi Aramco.
Safety, HSE & Site Discipline
Comply with Saudi Aramco HSE policies, Life-Saving Rules, and operational discipline.
Attend mandatory HSE inductions, safety meetings, and CBTs.
Report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions using approved Saudi Aramco systems.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare and submit service reports, daily activity logs, RCA reports, and technical recommendations using Saudi Aramco–approved formats.
Review and work in accordance with P&IDs, IFC drawings, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and control narratives.
Support documentation handover, redlining, and closeout requirements.
Coordination & Communication
Act as the technical interface between Saudi Aramco, the customer, and the employer’s service/project team.
Coordinate with Aramco Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Inspection, and HSE departments.
Support SLA-driven service calls, emergency response, and site support requirements.
Systems & Technology Exposure
Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
PLC & Safety Instrumented Systems (IEC 61511 / IEC 61508)
Field Instrumentation (Pressure, Temperature, Flow, Level)
Control Valves and Actuators
Industrial Communication Networks (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet-based systems)
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Control, or Automation Engineering.
Minimum 5 years experience in automation service within oil & gas, petrochemical, or process plants.
Prior Saudi Aramco site experience is mandatory.
OEM or customer system certification is an advantage.
Valid Saudi Aramco ID or ability to obtain one.

Eligible for Saudi Aramco site access (Vendor / Contractor approval)
Completion of Saudi Aramco HSE Orientation and CBTs
Strong knowledge of PTW, LOTO, JSA, Confined Space, and Working at Height procedures
Medical fitness certificate as per Saudi Aramco requirements
